Dr. Tracy Reimer
B.Sc., D.C.
Dr. Tracy Reimer graduated summa cum laude in 2001 from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. The UWS has a reputation for being one of the top chiropractic schools in North America with an intensive, evidence based scientific training program. Prior to her chiropractic education, Dr. Reimer achieved honors with a Bachelor of Science degree (Specialization in Psychology) in 1997 from the University of Alberta. She is a member of the Chiropractic Association of Alberta and the Canadian Chiropractic Association.
A career as a chiropractic physician appealed to Dr. Reimer from an early age due to the holistic approach of chiropractic medicine; given the right environment, the body is created with the innate ability to heal itself. In her clinical practice, she uses primarily diversified techniques (manual manipulation) and drop table techniques to gently realign joints of the spine and extremities, as well as soft tissue or muscle therapies to reduce pain and improve overall function. Some patients prefer not to have manual adjustments of their neck; therefore, Dr. Reimer uses an activator and muscle energy techniques to address neck joint pain and dysfunction. She provides custom foot orthotics for conditions which will respond to having corrective foot inserts. Her practice consists of treating patients of all ages - from newborn to seniors, and from all walks of life – including office workers, laborers, athletes, pregnant moms, and many more.
Dr. Reimer provides chiropractic care with a difference. She does not believe in a “revolving door practice” where a patient is in and out in 5 minutes. Rather, each patient is afforded time to make sure their concerns are addressed. During each appointment, her focus is to treat the cause of the issue with a treatment tailored to each individual, and then educate each patient on how to continue care on their own. Dr. Reimer frequently refers patients to other health care practitioners like Massage Therapists, Acupuncturists, Physiotherapists, Naturopathic Doctors and Medical Doctors to help co-manage her patients’ conditions when the need arises.
